You are required to obtain the necessary permits, before work can begin - please see below for the permit application forms.
Building permits are required for:
- Garden/tool sheds, gazebos greater than 100 square feet
- New building construction
- Garages and carports
- Decks
- Mobile homes
- Renovation, alteration or addition to an existing building
- Relocation of an existing building
- Basement development in a dwelling unit
- Change of use of a building (example: office building to residence)
- Swimming pools and hot tubs greater than 2 feet deep
- Demolition of an existing building
- Temporary buildings
- Retaining walls

ENERGY COMPLIANCE FORMS: There may be energy modelling required for your project. Reference these documents below, or ones required by your builder.

Submit completed forms with all details and site plan to cao@hepburn.ca. All forms must be complete and payment for permit application must be paid before permit will be approved. Building Permit Fees can be paid via cheque, cash, debit, or via e-transfer to onlinepayments@hepburn.ca
