Hepburn Parks and Rec Board provides support and resourcing for the Community Groups and Organizations for Sport, Recreation, & Culture.  If you want information about a group, contact the person listed below or the Town Office at info@hepburn.ca.  If your group has changed members or information, please submit updates to the office.

NOTICE:  $8262 has been distributed to our community groups from Saskatchewan Community Lottery Grants this year.

(1) HEPBURN ARENA

  • *Latest Notice:  Arena Season bookings are being received for the 2017-2018 season.  Please email arena@hepburn.ca to inquire about your regular bookings.  New Arena Manual and Form to be posted soon.
  • Opening Day:  Wednesday, December 14, 2016
  • Closing Day: Usually early-mid March.  Monday, March 20, 2017.   Lobby bookings are available year-round.

  • Calendar: The Arena Calendar is kept up to date in a google calendar format.  If you see an error, or need to request a change in your booking, let us know.

  • Concession Booth: The concession is run by volunteers. Volunteering to work a shift in the booth is a fun way of getting to know community members and contribute to your community.  All proceeds from the booth go towards the upkeep of the arena.For more info, contact the Town Office.

  • Preparations:  Renovations and improvements have been made in the lobby, concession, water heater, etc.  Thanks to staff and volunteers!
  • Public Skating Hours:  Wednesdays 3.00-5.30pm – staff supervision; Saturdays 12.00-5.30pm – volunteer supervision, coordinated by Parks & Rec; Sundays 1.30-4.30pm – staff supervision – booth open for hot chocolate and coffee; Arena Closed Dec 24, 25, 26, Jan 1; Christmas Break – Dec 27-Jan 2 – open from 11am-3pm, volunteer supervision; February Break – Feb 20-24 – open from 11am-3pm, volunteer supervision

(2) HEPBURN CENTENNIAL BOWL

  • *Latest Notice:  League inquiries and bookings are being received for the 2017-2018 season.  See information below.  Mixed Leagues begin OCTOBER 16/17. Ladies League begins JANUARY 3. Please email Janet with your questions.

    • Bowling Alley Update:  Tournament happening March 10, 2017.  Winners TBA.
    • “Totally Retro” article about Hepburn Centennial Bowl, its 50th anniversary, and latest renos.   Read article here.
  • Rentals:  Rent the bowling alley for $60/hour (all four lanes and includes shoe rental).  Multipurpose Room (back room):  $25.00.

  • Description: The Hepburn Centennial Bowl is available for reservations by calling the caretaker and setting up a time. This would be an excellent family activity, birthday party or group event.

  • Description:   Established in 1967, the Wheatland Regional Library is part of a province-wide public library system. Wheatland Regional Library is located in west central Saskatchewan and provides library service to over 95,000 people living in 130 communities.  The Wheatland Regional Library Headquarters is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

(4) HEPBURN MUSEUM OF WHEAT BOARD

(8) THE CENTRE (aka Hepburn Golden Age Centre)

  • *Latest Notice:   JOIN IN AND CELEBRATE SENIORS WEEK on Thursday October 5, 7.00pm, at the Centre.  Snacks, coffee, and socializing.
  • Wednesday Coffee Times continue. 
  • NEW:  Rental Rates $12.50/hr up to 4 hours.  $80/day.

  • Description:  Our Centre is located on Main Street and Railway Avenue. The Centre building used to be a trading company and general store for Hepburn. At present, the Centre has enough dishes, cutlery, tables and chairs to seat 100 people. We have a piano, pool table and various other games.  The Centre is available for rent for meetings, gatherings or banquets. We presently have 45 members. Memberships available to seniors ages 50+ for a price of $20/year.
  • Every Wednesday is coffee time from 9.00-10.00am, throughout the year, including summer.
  • The first Thursday of each month is a potluck at 6:00pm and most months we have a program to follow.

(11) HEPBURN SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL (SCC)
